Chauncey Rice

Manager, Government Relations

Chauncey Rice joined IRMA in 2021 as Manager of Government Relations. Chauncey Rice joins IRMA to advance the priorities of retailers at Chicago City Hall and Cook County and aid in businesses’ continued recovery from the pandemic.

Having previously worked as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs & Public Engagement for the City of Chicago, Chauncey has a wealth of experience at City Hall and relationships across city government. In his previous role, he served as a liaison for federal, state and local government officials, developed public engagement strategies to be utilized across Chicago’s 50 wards and successfully lobbied aldermen to support various ordinances, including the expansion of the No-Fee Veteran Sticker Program to over 50,000 military veterans.
Additionally, Chauncey served as a legislative assistant to the Mayor’s office as well as an aldermanic aide for the Committee on Finance for the City of Chicago. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in Financial Planning and Management Services.
